I've made fundamental changes to the underlying object oriented design. I realised that the old design was starting make things complicated to do, which is a sign thatg something is wrong. Also one of the classes was becoming huge, so I split the functionality away into smaller units. So there's my excuse for the lack of updates! Hopefully I can now look forward to doing some new stuff, rather than updating the old.

If any of you have any time to jot down some notes on what you thought, or have any idea's for what you'ld like to see next, then contact me here.

Right, I'm back from a refreshing holiday in France. And ready to start work on things again. I've check the webstats for the site and people are downloading the game to have a look at it. The thing I'd really appreciate now is some feedback from you all. What do you think of the game so far? What features would you like to see developed first? What could be added to make it a better game? Any of you who want to be involved in the project please write to me, I'm happy to talk to you. Contact me here.

The V1.0.0.8 update is out. I've done a lot of work over the last few days cramming new stuff into it. Here's the list:
- Sign Free Agents
- Multiple Seasons
- Promotion & Relegation
- Player Searches
- Release players on Free Transfers
- Shortlist players you're interested in
- Greater variety of messages
- Game Engine balancing
The one thing that hasn't made it into the game so far is the end of season awards. There wasn't enough time to complete it. I thought it would be better to have some contract functionality in place instead.
Please contact me with your views on the game. I'm interested to hear what you have to say.
Finally, I am away on holiday from friday, so all development will be stopped for a couple of weeks. Still, it'll give all of you some time to play the current version and send me mails about what you would like to see next! Happy Megabowl-ing!

The next update (V1.0.0.8) will be available either tomorrow or wednesday, It will contain the ability to play multiple seasons, end of season awards, promotion, relegation and hopefully player searches. Already implemented are a tweak to the game engine that gives more balance to the game, adding players to and removing players from your personal shortlist. Other updates in the pipeline are: player contracts and signing free agents.
To everybody who has contacted me so far, thanks for your support, your help is greatly appreciated. There are bugs in the game at the moment, and also area's where the it's not self explanatory what to do. I am working on these issues. If you find anything with the game that is not clear, please contact me.
Finally, I am aware of an issue with the installation where a file says it cannot register. Please press "ignore", it should not affect the game. If you do have trouble starting the game, write down the message and send it to me. Today I played through an entire season without a hitch (although the end of season routine still needs work) so it is getting there.
Thanks, James

An update has been added to the downloads page. V1.0.0.7 contains a whole slew of fixes and bugs that stopped the single game version working. Sorry about that. This release also includes real injuries within the season play and the introduction of the 3rd and 4th division for management. It also contains a mechanism for bringing in make weight players to your squad when you're short of cover. More work over the weekend...

This is the first post i've made since Megabowl development continued. It had stopped for nearly a year. Over the last few weeks big advances have been made to the season play part of the game; encouraging as this is there is still a long way to go.
